Barbecues and Picnics

2025

Once again we were blessed with a beautiful summer day. Our long distance travelers were Cory and his son Carter from the St. Louis area. Also Roger and Elaine from the Peoria area. The free raffle prize winner was John, a new local ZR-1 owner. Everyone had plenty to eat and ice cream.

2024

It was a beautiful summer day for a ZR-1 gathering. We had a raffle prize! The prize was a part from one of the Lotus prototype engines. When the LT5 engine program was ended, GM instructed Lotus to destroy the prototype cars that they had in Hethel England. The engines were destroyed with hammers. This section was salvaged from the scrap yard and saved as a part of the history of the LT5 engine. Bob Castrejon was the lucky winner. Bob also was distinguished as the long distance traveler. He's from San Diego!

2023

We had our biggest and best BBQ so far. 20 Corvettes and about 45 wonderful people.

2022

We had a great mix of regular and first time attendees.

We are back to normal after the lost social year of 2020. It was a beautiful day.
