Headers

The headers have 2" primary pipes and 3" collectors. They are made by Stainless Works. The material is 304 stainless steel. They are ceramic coated on the outside and the inside. The silver ceramic coating is polished. The engine is tuned for the headers.

The typical performance improvement for a 400 crankshaft hp engine is +15 ft. lbs. torque and +25 horsepower.

The cost for a complete installation. '90 - '92  $3506.

The cost for a complete installation. '93 - '95  $3503.

The installations above are for off-road use only.

Headers as above with catalysts. Metallic substrate catalysts are utilized. The front catalyst connections are a slip fit.

On a 400 crankshaft hp engine, the catalysts will reduce horse power by about 4. On a 500 crankshaft hp engine, the catalysts will reduce horsepower by about 10. An engine with this exhaust system can pass an emissions test.

The cost for a header installation with catalysts: '90 - '92  $3506.

The cost for a header installation with catalysts: '93 - '95  $3503.

AIR tubes can be added to the headers. The tubes are a flush fit to the inside of the headers, so there is no restriction to the exhaust flow. The cost is $440 for the tubes + $110 labor to connect them to the car.

Header Installation Kits

A kit contains everything that is needed to perform an installation like we do in our shop. It includes Stainless Works long tube headers, deburring the insides of the collectors, polished silver ceramic coating, dipstick adapter bracket, bolts, gaskets, other miscellaneous parts, installation instructions and tuning. When the header installation is in progress, send the engine calibration chip to us and we will upgrade it with fuel for +25 horsepower and set the anti-backfire mode. Catalysts are available at no additional cost.

'90 - '92  $2546.

'93 - '95 without EGR  $2583.

'93 - '95 with EGR  $2590.
